The difference between control cables and power cables

The structure of control cables is similar to that of power cables, with only copper cores and no aluminum core cables. The conductor cross-section is smaller and there are more cores.

Suitable for single machine control or unit equipment control of power stations, substations, mines, petrochemical enterprises, etc. with rated AC voltage of 450/750V and below. To improve the ability of control signal cables to prevent internal and external interference, the main measure is to set up a shielding layer.

Common models include KVV, KYJV, KYJV22, KVV22, and KVVP. Model meaning: "K" control cable category, "V" polyvinyl chloride insulation, "YJ" cross-linked polyethylene insulation, "V" polyvinyl chloride sheath, "P" copper wire shielding.

Shielded control cables, the common KVVP is copper wire shielding. If it is copper tape shielding, it represents KVVP2, and if it is aluminum-plastic composite tape shielding, it represents KVVP3. The shielding layers of different materials have their own characteristics and functions.
